Flower Packaging for My Way Design Company
Flutter aims to reduce the use of environmentally unfriendly products, such as plastic sheets, in the flower packaging industry. This ergonomic product makes it easy to carry flowers and reduces the weight of the bouquet. The bionic design inspired by butterfly wings ensures that while carrying flowers, the viewer looking from the front can see the flowers displayed above the wings, fashioning a conceptual-fantasy model. The butterfly itself, as a symbol of freedom, is also visible in the design of this packaging.

The modern flower packaging design aims to reduce the use of environmentally unfriendly products (such as plastic sheets) in the flower packaging industry. This ergonomic product makes it easy to carry flowers and reduces the weight of the bouquet. The design of the product, as part of bionic design, is inspired by butterfly wings, which is evident from the appearance. The letters "m" and "w" (the logo of My Way Design group) are used to shape the butterfly wings.

For product personalization, holes are provided on the edges of the product for ribbon threading. Ribbons are used to wrap the packaging and bring the two sides (wings) closer together. By allowing the buyer to choose the color and type of ribbon, product variety improves, and the buyer's choice is involved in selecting the color. The design of the top curves, allows for the user's flowers to be visible. A hole at the top of the wings is designed for carrying the bouquet, giving the impression of holding a butterfly and highlighting the product's creative and fantasy design. After several rounds of sampling the initial design, the final die cut began in production with the purchase of Kraft paper.
The main challenge was not laminating the paper. Paper lamination in the inner layer of the product is a common practice to increase durability and prevent the flower packaging from getting wet. However, this material was not used in this design due to the non-biodegradable nature of plastic lamination. Instead, with the special design and increased thickness of the cardboard, the likelihood of the product tearing is reduced. To prevent the cardboard from getting wet when wrapping the flower stems, tying them with twine is recommended.
The use of biodegradable paper laminate in the interior of the product enhances its functionality and durability in the industry.
Before wrapping the flowers, the top part of the hanger should be placed on the table with the "m" on the left and the "w" on the right side of the product. The bouquet is wrapped and can optionally be either closed or glued to the inside of the bag. In the section for sealing the flower package, the user's involvement in selecting the ribbon adds a personalized touch to the package. The flower packaging bag is offered in two sizes for small and large bouquets and can ultimately be hung or worn on the wrist to display the butterfly concept through the holes by the user.
Field research was done in flower shops and the Iranian paper market to examine models for bags and the limited flower hanger products made from various materials. There was also, examination of existing designs on various websites, including Pinterest.
The bionic design inspired by butterfly wings ensures that while carrying flowers, the viewer looking from the front can see the flowers displayed above the wings, fashioning a conceptual-fantasy model. The butterfly itself, as a symbol of freedom, is also visible in the design of this packaging.
