Unique Properties

“Inspiration Season” is the first large-scale design forum activity held by Hangzhou Loft49. Over 50 years Loft49 has been transformed from an old chemical fiber factory into an urban creative design park.Through several years of demolition and restoration, Loft49 was renewed. To commemorate this history, the author chose wool as the inspiration for this design. The past and the present of the factory building are connected by yarn. Production Technology

1.The poster was shot with Blackmagic and slide rails in 4K vertical screen.2. Post-effect processing, image pick-up, color matching and composition challenges were carried out.3. Combine the moving picture with the graphic design to output the final static poster and dynamic poster

The biggest challenge is how to give the content of the dynamic shooting more a sense of graphic design.

Operation Flow

The first thing you see is the rotation of several lines in the picture, which is transformed into a flat poster in a sudden jerk. In the process, people will see the blue wool, sense of space, sudden surprise, and finally reveal the content. The overall flow allows visiters to understand the meaning of the picture and generate inner associations and inspiration.

Research

Modern dynamic image technology is becoming more and more popular, which has a great impact on graphic design.People need to think about how static content fuses with dynamic images.Through the combination of film and graphic design images to find more interesting poster forms and try to break through the boundaries of graphic design. The forum received a lot of positive feedback，which triggered everyone's thinking about graphic design and dynamic design. It brings a new possibility to dynamic graphic design.

Inspiration

Posters are divided into static and dynamic forms.After actually photographing the real scene space where the wool is hanging, the technology processing is done.Converts the poster to a static state.The blue wool represents the factory of the past and the future of the place.Because Loft49's architectural spatiality is a feature, the dynamic part emphasizes the three-dimensional sense of space composed of wool.The shaking of the wool expresses the moment of inspiration.

Project Overview

Inspiration Season Main Vision has been a Bronze winner in the Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design award category in the year 2022 organized by the prestigious A' Design Award & Competition. The Bronze A' Design Award is given to outstanding designs that showcase a high degree of creativity and practicality. It recognizes the dedication and skill of designers who produce work that stands out for its thoughtful development and innovative use of materials and technology.
