Graphic Packaging for Macau University of Science and Technology
The project derives design ideas from the old firecrackers in Macau. The beautiful and elegant images of four women are transformed into contemporary illustrations. This image is used in the four types of Macau tourism commemorative food packaging designs, which not only retains the regional characteristics of Macau, but also more effectively conforms to the modern aesthetics.

Design Challenge
Firecrackers in history are the representative products of Macau exported overseas. Therefore, in the design process of this project, it is necessary to retain the regional characteristics of Macau of the times, but also to have the style of modern design language, and to change the "attribute" of the packaging attached to its original pattern. : Since the setting of firecrackers is prohibited in Macau, the We need to change from the original packaging of firecrackers to packaging of special tourist food is the two biggest challenges of the project.

The project started in Macau in March 2020 and will be completed in Macau in June 2020.

Inspiration
The special history and culture of Macau created firecrackers with historical characteristics, but they suddenly disappeared after the industrial transformation. We summarized and sorted out representative packaging graphic languages, updated the design with modern graphic languages, adopted bold colors, and converted the original functions of the products into new packaging
