Huade was once an important military base for defending China's northern frontiers. Abandoned military facilities can develop military experience and tourism, and drive urban economic development. The design is inspired by a button, the pause and start symbols in button mean that suspend busy work, and start the journey of Huade. The combination of the pause and start symbol and the pentagram is the English Abb. HD of Huade. The five pointed star is part of the army flag and epaulet. Huade will always remember and pay tribute to the heroes who defended the country during the war.

Production Technology
The city has their own features, city logo is to convey one of the most important characteristics to the public, becoming a unique label for the city. Graphics must have both cultural and historical precipitation, as well as modernity.
Design Challenge
The difficulty is how to express the history of military bases in modern visual language. Starting with the military flag and clothing, found a common symbol that is the pentagram. The pause and start symbols in the Internet era combine the five pointed star to perfectly combine the two.
Project Duration
The project started in July 2019 in Beijing and finished in February 2020 in Beijing
Operation Flow
The logo can be presented on a white background or can be used against a red background to form a unified visual style.
Research
After receiving the design invitation, I went to Huade for a survey and research to understand the history and current situation of this city. Through interviews with citizens, professionals, and government officials, everyone agreed that the previous military base is the most representative city symbol.

Project Overview
Huade City Visual Identity has been a Iron winner in the Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design award category in the year 2019 organized by the prestigious A' Design Award & Competition. The Iron A' Design Award is awarded to good designs that meet the rigorous professional and industrial standards set by the A' Design Awards. This recognition is reserved for works that demonstrate a solid understanding of design principles and show creativity within their execution. Recipients of the Iron A' Design Award are acknowledged for their practical innovations and contributions to their respective fields, providing solutions that improve quality of life and foster positive change. These designs are a testament to the skill and dedication of their creators, showcasing their ability to address real-world challenges through thoughtful design.
