The "arcAdia" is an Italian Vodka concept, ideated and designed by Elia Pittavino. The product is multi-layered, as it's composed by multiple distillated ingredients in order to achieve a complex but smooth taste. The design is based on a polygonal shape with flat twisting faces, inspired by classical constructions, with a futuristic interpretation. The bottle is made to appear simple and evocative with a structure easy to handle and be served-up. The designer delivered it in 3 varieties of colours & treatments, following the fashion and luxury target markets.

Production Technology
The arcAdia bottle is mainly composed of glass, with 3 varieties of colours & treatments. The "Cyan" bottle is made of flat coloured glass, the "Silver" one that has a 70% opacity silver reflecting finish. The "Black" edition is made of black glass with a 85% opacity finish, that still allows to see the Vodka. The gift Packaging is made of light metal, as the cap and it’s studied to let the shell be opened by twisting the main upper part, that remains closed when carried out for transportation.
Design Challenge
Deliver a shape that could be perceived as evocative, functional & easy to handle.
Project Duration
The first idea of the project come up in Italy the last months of 2014 and was developed since the Competition submission.
Operation Flow
The arcAdia Vodka interaction approach starts with the visual links made by the evocative external shape & facing treatments. When handled the bottle is easy to be held and served, thanks to its polygonal multi-faced shape. The gift Packaging keep the user interaction in a twisting opening movement, that reveals the bottle once the upper part is lifted up.
Research
The arcAdia bottle is inspired by the luxury world and its correlated designs, as the concept focuses on the fashion and luxury markets, aming a simple and evocative design appeal. The research was also influenced by the ancient undisclosed worlds, iconic and mythological constructions, futuristic buildings. The strong “A” central character, mark of arcAdia, is linked up with the "Awen" glyph symbol that also in the modernity refers to the poetic and spitirual illumination.
