This project established a unique identity for 1045, a locally roasted coffee blend that pays homage to the elevation of the city of Calgary of 1045 meters above sea level. It embodies the bold Calgarian spirit, striking a balance between tradition and innovation. The packaging showcase a dedication to quality, sustainability, and artisanal craftsmanship, seamlessly merging rugged natural elements with contemporary design. Created to appeal to both devoted coffee lovers and a new generation of enthusiasts, 1045 celebrates the rich coffee culture of Calgary.

The 1045 Coffee packaging utilizes classic black coffee bags, providing a sleek and timeless look that preserves freshness. Each blend is distinguished by a carefully designed label, produced as a high-quality sticker for flexibility and easy application. This approach allows for efficient production while maintaining a premium feel. The creative challenge for 1045 Coffee was to visualize Calgary's elevation in a unique and impactful way, without resorting to the typical mountain imagery that competitors use. The goal was to reflect the city's high-altitude spirit while avoiding cliches. The solution involved designing a diamond-shaped logo featuring bold 1045 numbers that evoke the essence of mountains, complemented by perspective lines that simultaneously suggest the shadows of mountains and coffee fields. This approach captured Calgary's elevation and the coffee's origins in a distinct and original way, ensuring a memorable visual identity.

The 1045 coffee brand, crafted by a local Calgary manufacturer, offers a unique blend that stands out in the market. The visual identity of 1045 Coffee captures the warmth and richness of a perfectly brewed cup. A calm, earthy color palette reflects the deep hues of coffee, emphasizing authenticity and craftsmanship. Each coffee origin features two shades, a darker tone for espresso's bold intensity and a lighter hue for the smooth filter method. This thoughtful design creates a cohesive, elegant look that enhances shelf presence while celebrating the unique character of each coffee variety.
