Event Visual Communication for Taishun County People's Government
This is a visual identity design for the 2022 Zhejiang Taishun County Cultural and Creative Design Competition. Taishun is known for its rivers, people use a unique transportation method called DingBu. Based on the concept, the artwork extends several sets of 3D lines, symbolizing the connection between Taishun and the outside world, also the connection between tradition and the future. The design showcases a different urban image of Taishun and turns the match into a locally iconic cultural event.

Unique Properties
The composition is formed by several sets of extended 3D lines, and it incorporates the visual symbols of Taishun, such as mountains, bridges and dragon dances. These symbols are vividly merged into the lines, creating a brand-new landscape painting of Taishun. We aim to attract attention from college students and designers through this design, and encourage them to participate in the competition. We hope that our design can transform this competition into a locally iconic cultural event.

Production Technology
Taishun County is a beautiful city characterized by its mountains and rivers. It also has numerous architectural relics and intangible cultural heritage. In terms of color, the gradient from green to white conveys the inherent color impression of the city This design takes into account the aesthetic needs of young people, employing forms of expression and material usage that are popular among them. This ensures that visitors are provided with a satisfying visual experience.
Design Challenge
Chinese cities often have a long history and rich cultural heritage, but these culture still can’t satisfied the standard of modern aesthetic standards. One of the key objectives of this design project is to showcase the historical and cultural elements of Taishun City through modern techniques. The combination of graphic designs with 3D renderings represents a novel visual experiment in communicating the essence of Taishun city.
Project Duration
The project started its design phase in April 2022, was completed in September 2022, and officially launched in October 2022.
Research
This visual design has attracted great attention from college students. The competition received over a thousand entries from all over the country. The outstanding works from the competition were also exhibited. Additionally, several design works that serve the local community have signed cooperation agreements with local enterprises. The 2022 competition received attention from multiple media and greatly enhancing the social influence of Taishun's cultural.
Inspiration
This artwork is inspired by the unique bridge in Taishun called "Dingbu." Taishun is a city with numerous rivers. Local people pave a stone bridge called "Dingbu" to cross the rivers. "Dingbu" has become a unique way of transportation in Taishun. The lines composed of "Dingbu" symbolize the connection between Taishun and the outside world, as well as the connection between tradition and the future. The design with a strong visual impact concept also satisfies aesthetic needs of young people.
Project Overview
Taishun Design Competition Event Visual Communication has been a Silver winner in the Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design award category in the year 2023 organized by the prestigious A' Design Award & Competition. The Silver A' Design Award celebrates top-tier designs that embody excellence and innovation. This award acknowledges creations that are not only aesthetically pleasing but also highly functional, reflecting the designer's deep understanding and skill. Silver A' Design Award recipients are recognized for their contribution to raising industry standards and advancing the practice of design. Their work often incorporates original innovations and elicits a strong emotional response, making a notable impact on the improvement of everyday life.
