Packaging for Zhimao Rice
This is a rice package, specially used to load Heilongjiang Wuchang rice. The box contains six smaller boxes with the same pattern as the larger one. The design uses simple graphics to reveal a simple and unpretentious style. The open mountains and rivers are closer to the landscape of rural rice fields. The two figures in the picture, separated by mountains and rivers, salute each other with traditional Chinese ceremonial gestures, giving people a sense of the long culture behind the product and the friendly gesture of local farmers.

This is the packaging design of a rice. picture tries to convey the founders' good wish that they are close friends with each other, and share the same ideal to guard "Rice Mountain" together, and look at each other on the bank of the Larin River.

Production Technology
Gift box: 115g Earl paper, beige, four color single side printing, hot silver process. Inside the box: 350g Earl paper, beige, four color single side printing.
Design Challenge
Wuchang City is located in the northeast of China, has a long history of reputation for rice. It can be traced back to the Bohai Kingdom in the early Tang Dynasty (mid-7th century), when farmers in the Wuchang region planted rice. The Rice Packaging is trying to reflect the spirit of Traditional Chinese culture, but also using modern elements. In the process of conception, the Designer consulted a large number of ancient Chinese landscape paintings, and tried to find the picture style that could fit with rice products.
Project Duration
The Project started in May 2015 in Harbin and finished in January 2016 in Beijing, and was exhibited in KunShan University of Taiwan in November 2017.
Operation Flow
The Box body and the opening and closing parts of it cover are equipped with magnets. that magnets are hidden in the through-hole, thus forming the lock of the box. that hidden magnet structure solves the defects caused by the opening and closing of similar packaging boxes and scratches on other products during transportation, and it looks more beautiful. The User feedback to us that the taste of rice is very good, its packaging appears simple and elegant coexistence. During the holidays, gifts for friends, family, and coworkers are great.
Research
In China, the Packaging design of Wuchang Rice varies greatly, and many consumers attach great importance to the choice of packaging for gifts. The Product locates high-end gift of food, expresses: friendship of rice, bosom friend's gift. The Shape is similar to the gesture of salute in traditional Chinese culture, which makes the picture full of The Artistic conception of Zen and Chinese painting, thus conveying the relationship between people, people and nature of the product and the unique concept of pure natural ecological food in Wuchang area.
Inspiration
Wuchang Rice is one of the most famous rice varieties in northeast China. But the packaging design in the market is intermingled. The founder and his team just want to provide the public with high grade and quality products. Therefore, a performance of the packaging of rice is the need to have a unique style to design.
