Unique Properties
Secret Tarts design was developed as part of the new cannabis-infused products range for GreenRevolution Co. USA. This product is the aluminum can packed in the carton box with hangtag and contained cannabis-infused chewing pills for medication and relaxation purposes. The design solution was achieved by layout visual structure hierarchy for the texts and illustrative elements to be linked flawlessly together and transfer the main marketing point: these pills are developed by a pharmacist craft-professional company and contain a really hand-made recipe inside.

Production Technology
Packaging design here consists of two separate pieces: a round label being stuck to aluminum can and the carton box layout. For all the tasks, Adobe software was used for compiling raster and vector elements together for correct layouts printing on coated and non-coated materials using CMYK + 2 PANTONE color set and appropriate US color profiles.
Design Challenge
Cannabis-infused products market is young but quite competitive in the US so the main challenge was to create a really outstanding packaging to jump out of competitors massive.
Project Duration
The project was started in July 2019 and consisted of several parts with over 2 months overall duration as there were also a lot of additional SKUs developed on further stages.
Operation Flow
The carton box could be easily opened from the upper flap using a special cut window. There is the aluminum can inside and it could be opened by rotating the lid. Pills are colored and have appropriate fruit taste. All the instructions, dosage, etc. are clearly presented on all packaging pieces and flaps.
Research
This design was developed according to team-framework named "AntHill" when all 5 team members were working at the same time over each layout and image on parallel threads. After sequential iterations and detailed client feedback, the most successful version among 20 initially developed was chosen and polished for all the frame-holder PDPs being holistic and understandable from the first glance.
Inspiration
The design was inspired by old-school packaging retro-imaginary and vintage solutions produced for decorative and architectural tasks by previous generations of artists in Western Europe. All the layout key-elements, engraved fruits images and fonts selection were consolidated into the holistic structure being a retro-styled but easily recognizable as a modern product at the same time.

Secret Tarts Cannabis Infused Pills has been a Golden winner in the Packaging Design award category in the year 2019 organized by the prestigious A' Design Award & Competition.
